LiquidFreakStudios
Better known as LiquidFrogStudios on DeviantArt. Hobbyist artist and entertainer. This site hates me though...
I mostly draw fanart & furry girls right now, but I have a bolder ambition of creating my own multimedia franchise, especially video games.

Forum

Posted by LiquidFreakStudios - August 4th, 2022

I haven't had much success with the forum so far, so I'm going to make more topics, and start posting to other people's topics.

Would be nice to get to 100 followers before the end of the year, as I had planned at the start of this year, but it's probably too late now...

Yes, I know nobody cares... : /

Its freaky man,You gotta be on that grindset yo.Just keep improving on the art and commenting on forums and user blogs if you are adamant to get to that goal

Honestly, it's hard to find the motivation to spend any length of time here when I am given so little attention, even when I do make an effort. But I guess I don't disagree with what you say either...

@LiquidFreakStudios True, true but since when was anything cool or good been easy to accomplish? Just donĀ“t be afraid of embarassment brah. Advertise yourself while getting better, and you will break through that barrier. You gotta ask yourself though, is the goal worth the effort or not?

Yeah, it is difficult. I used to be similarly unpopular on DeviantArt as here, but eventually I started to attract more attention and became semi-successful. I only managed that by forcing myself not to be embarassed to share my art in groups/forums and to engage with other artists more. It paid off in the end.

I've tried similar with Newgrounds, but it hasn't worked out yet. I find it harder here to stumble across other artists of a similar size/genre, and the website doesn't really encourage chatting to people in the comments and such to make friends. I've tried the forum, but my topic usually just gets ignored. I'm sure I'll work out a better way to advertise myself here eventually... I definitely think it's worth the struggle, since I can't rely on just one website, especially if DeviantArt might not even survive the next decade...

@LiquidFreakStudios Atta Boy, ya gotta keep going.I know it sucks but, all effort pays off in the end i am sure of it. Yknow what ill even follow ya. It aint much but its a start. Im not part of the art sphere unfortunately so all i got is just theories and what ive heard from people and the snippets of art advice i saved in a notepad to go on.Theres also Baraag and Pillowfort too, for art aggregates anyways.
Did you try and ask the more popular people for help/advice?

Awesome, thank you! Yeah, I need to be on many more platforms to maximise my exposure. I've heard of Pillowfort, but I've not heard of Baraag. I need to do a lot more research... I haven't tried asking popular artists on Newgrounds for advice, but I suppose I could try asking them in the forums.

@LiquidFreakStudios Ya gotta fight man, for every piece and crumb you can get, if you are serious about this.
